FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
September 4 , 2007
Supervisor Carroll Parmeter called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Pam Altimus, Sally Hackenberg, Ron Shaver, Paul Williams and Carroll Parmeter were all present, there were six visitors.
COMMENTS
It was mentioned that M216 was not closed yet but soon will be for the culvert replacement on M216 near Chamberlain Rd.
Paul informed board members that House bill 4780 concerning doing away with township government is still active in Lansing.
Howardsville Christian School also wants to put up a lighted sign.
MINUTES
Paul made the motion to approve the Aug. 6, 2007 minutes, seconded by Sally, motion carried.
CORRESPONDENCE-none
REPORTS
Assessor-Shalice was not present.
PCB-They held their scheduled meeting in Aug.
Sexton-Bill was present, but there was no report.
NEW BUSINESS
Carroll made the motion to act on the FOIA Resolution next month, seconded by Pam, motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
There was much discussion concerning the community survey questions. The board went over the entire questionnaire and agreed on a final draft. Ron made the motion to accept the survey with the changes, seconded by Paul with a roll call vote; Ron-yes, Paul-yes, Carroll-yes, Sally-no and Pam-yes. It was noted by the board that the Planning Commission has done a lot of work on this project and they have done a good job. Pam will copy the survey and get it out as soon as possible to over 700 residents.
It was also agreed on to let Paul pick out and order new cemetery signs, the size is 24 X 30inches and will cost $65 a piece.
EXPENDITURES
Paul made the motion to approve expenditures 2705 thru 2737, seconded by Sally, motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Sally made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Pam, motion carried with the meeting adjourning at 9:00 p.m.
