FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
May 14 , 2007
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Carroll Parmeter at 7:00 p.m. Pam Altimus, Sally Hackenberg, Paul Williams and Carroll Parmeter were present. Ron Shaver came in later. There were nine visitors present.
BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS
The Clerk stated that the gravel road were in very bad shape.
SPECIAL GUESTS
Rick Anderson, Road Commissioner, was present to give a short presentation, stating that the road commission is presently operating in the black and our chloride costs will be the same as last year.
AGENDA
Paul made the motion to accept the Agenda, seconded by Pam, motion carried.
MINUTES
Carroll made the motion to approve the April 2, 2007 minutes, seconded by Paul, motion carried.
REPORTS
Shalice-Assessor gave us her plan to print tax notices, she was ordered from BS&A, software to accomplish this and also will check with the Land Resource Centre to see if we can cancel the contract with them for this year. Pam said that she would write them a letter stating that we wish to cancel our contract. Pam made the motion to have our Assessor Chalice to print and supply necessary information for printing tax bills and support materials not to exceed $700, seconded by Sally with a roll call vote; Pam-yes, Carroll-yes, Paul-yes and Sally-yes.
Rural Inspections-Tony was not present.
PCB-Toby stated that they are in the process of finalizing the Masterplan update survey with approximately 40 questions to hopefully be sent out with the summer tax bills. There were two meetings held in May.
Carroll made the motion to charge $25 for our Zoning book, seconded by Paul, motion carried.
Sexton-Bill was present and informed the board that he has ordered ID stakes for the cemetery lots.
OLD BUSINESS
Maspterplan update work is on schedule.
Municipal ordinance update-Leo Swartz is in the process of cleaning up the burned house and replacing it with a new one.
Carroll made the motion to table the Fire Insurance Withholding Program (from Doug K.) until the June meeting, seconded by Pam, motion carried.
EXPENDITURES
Pam made the motion to approve expenditures 2597 thru 2625, seconded by Paul, motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Pam made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Carroll, motion carried with the meeting adjourning at 8:15p.m.
