FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING
MAY 2, 2005
The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Carroll Parmeter at 7:00 p.m., Ron Shaver, Paul Williams, Pam Altimus, Sally Hackenberg and Carroll Parmeter were all present, there were eight visitors present.

AGENDA
Sally made the motion to accept the Agenda, seconded by Paul, motion carried.
COMMENTS
Clerk Sally H. stated that the school elections would now be held at the township hall.
Pam has collected 93% of taxes, 7% are delinquent, and we made $38 for dog licenses.
MINUTES
Sally made the motion to accept the minutes, Pam seconded, motion carried.
SPECIAL GUESTS
Eric Shaffer, our County Commissioner, was present and presented us with a copy of the Farmland Preservation Ordinance that the St. Joseph County Commission has passed.
CORRESPONDENCE
Evelyn Flowers will call on LP gas prices and inform the board.
REPORTS
Assessor- Shalice was not present. It was noted that our contract with the Land Resources to print tax notices is through April 2006.
Rural Inspections-Charlie stated that Bidelmans have enough road frontage.
Jack Hughes was present to apply for the Electric inspector job, the State currently does this. There are two advantages for this, local township can answer any questions, and inspections can be done a lot sooner. Jack will send bills to clerk and supply his own permits.
PCB-They are working on a Natural Resource Ordinance and zoning changes in the Ag District(Wilkins zoning change).
OLD BUSINESS
Letters to residents concerning Municipal Ord violations have been sent to our lawyer for his approval.
NEW BUSINESS
None
EXPENDITURES
Carroll made the motion to preapprove pay and expenses for the school election workers, this will be reimbursed by the county, seconded by Pam, motion carried.
Sally made the motion to approve expenses 1903 thru 1928, seconded by Paul, motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
Sally made the motion to adjourn, seconded by Pam, motion carried with the meeting adjourning at 9:00 p.m.
